| Horse Barns have individual tack rooms for riders & grain rooms for horses supplements and additional horse feed and grain. Borders get their own large tack closet to safely store their horses saddles, riding equipment and tack in. |
| 5 Horse Back Riding, Trail & Jumping Arenas |
| There are three 1.5 acre turnout pastures for horses. Irrigated and non-irrigated sand pastures are available for borders on-site to turn out their horses for exercise. There are shaded seating areas, hammocks including picnic areas to read and relax. There is also a horse hot walker to exercise or cool out horses. | Horses are feed twice daily at 7 am and 5 p.m. We only buy top quality hay. We offer your choice and combination of alfalfa, alfalfa/grass. We purchase quality hay from local growers for the entire year, so horses have a consistent diet. Grain areas are available for safe storage of grain and supplements. We offer custom feeding programs tailored to your horses needs. If the grain is put in daily portions, there is no additional cost for graining service and no charge for trailer parking. The Original Historic Nelson Ranch Horse Barn has 12 x 12 stalls with stained glass overhead and brick in the aisleways that provides traction and can be hosed down to cool off the barn in the summer months and retains a fly control system in the floor which kills flys where they naturally feed. We have a "Green" barn. Stalls are tongue and groove lumber and custom made stalls from recycled metal and materials . The barn was built almost coml that has been recycled f. 12 x 12 with runs. Stalls are all matted with automatic waterers and adjustable fly control in each stall. There are lockers for the borders and trainers track room. The barn is high and keeps the barn cool in the summer. This barn is central to the indoor arena and next to the two round pens and wash racks. 13 x13 Stalls are $450 for full care- includes feeding twice a day and cleaning daily - 7 Days a Week Limited number self clean stalls with runs that are available for $350, we feed. Self Clean and You Feed $150 Stalls with Paddocks - Self Clean - We Feed Only $250 |
| The second horse barn has and stalls adjacent to the indoor arena are also made from recycled lumber from sites. These deluxe horse stalls are oversized 13 x 13 box stalls and 13 x 13 with extra large runs. These stalls are perfect for layups and larger horses. The stall area leads into the indoor riding arena. This barn has a high pitched roof for ventilation, individual adjustable fly control, recycled brick inlays and stained glass detailing and personal large tack rooms. Stalls in this barn are $425 for a box stall and $450 for a stall with oversized run - Limited stalls with large paddocks $295 self care, we feed - you clean & A Tack Room in Main Barn! |

| The ranch offers 5 different riding arenas. There is a large outdoor riding arena with perfect footing for reining. All horse back riding arenas have sandy loom footing, which means no mud! The large outdoor arena is set up with return alleys and cattle holding areas. The footing is excellent in this arena and is heat engineered to prevent packing, soft and allows horses to break over properly. The show jumping horse arena is has firmer sand footing. The large indoor has an all purpose sand footing. There is a trail arena. There is a CD / I-pod system for borders to play music while they ride their horses. There is a smaller 200 X 150 warm up arena for horses and 2 - 50' round pens with sand footing. There is easy access to riding trails along Cache Creek in the County of Yolo that extend into Sacramento County. |
